I’d mulled over getting an immersion blender for a long time and I am so happy I got this immersion blender. The blender cup is a big help as I can measure ingredients before blending. This thing can handle frozen strawberries I only cut up the very large ones. It blends frozen strawberries, milk, cream and sweetner into the most amazing smoothie. I’m very impressed with how easy to clean it is. Being that it’s my first time shopping for an immersion blender, I really didn’t know how powerful (or not) 200 watt is. My main purpose was to make soups with it and 200 watt was plenty powerful enough to puree carrots to produce a smooth creamy soup. It’s definitely made life a LOT easier when it comes to making soup as I don’t have to deal with the juggling act of pouring soup into the blender, then put it in a holding bowl, rinse repeat till all the soup has been blended and return to the pot. It’s also a LOT easier to clean than a regular blender. I’m not sure that it would be powerful enough to grind up ice for a smoothie. The instruction booklet does say to use crushed ice instead of whole cubes. I was also impressed that it’s fairly quiet and it didn’t splatter my soup every where. Overall, I’m very happy that I got this immersion blender. I bought this blender based on all the great reviews here, and I’m happy so far. Delivery was quick, and product feels nice and sturdy.
I’ve only used it twice so far, and I’m hoping it will last a long time. It’s not too loud, and most importantly it takes up so little space and it’s a cinch to clean. Plus it looks good, even if it’s not hot pink.
